'Clayface' Teaser: Tom Rhys Harries makes debut as shape-shifting Batman villain in James Watkins' horror film - watch

DC Studios is encouraging fans to “look fear in the face” with the release of the trailer for upcoming horror film “Clayface.” The film, scheduled for release later this year, brings to screens the iconic shape-shifting Batman villain.Tom Rhys Harris makes his first appearance as ClayfaceThe horror film is directed by James Watkins, starring Tom Rhys Harris, and is said to explore the origin story of the famous character – Matt Hagen. Much like the comics, the film features Matt as a struggling actor who undergoes an experimental medical procedure after his face is disfigured in a knife attack.

While the treatment is initially successful, it quickly turns into a horror show, turning Matt’s face into a clay-like substance capable of reshaping into various shapes.Clayface trailerThe trailer begins with Hagen lying in a hospital bed with his face covered in bandages and a feeding tube. The clip then transitions to moments from his life, depicting his slow physical decline, causing his face to transform dramatically, losing all of his chiseled features.

The film also stars Naomi Ackie, alongside David Dencik, Max Minghella, and Eddie Marsan.About ClayfaceClayface is one of the first villains in the Batman universe, first appearing in Detective Comics #40 in June 1940.

The character, known for her ability to change her appearance, has appeared across films, television series, animated projects, and video games over the decades.The film marks an upcoming major DC Studios release following the release of “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow,” which is scheduled to hit theaters on June 26.

who currently heads up DC, took to his social media handles to share the trailer of the film that was initially scheduled to be released in early September. However, the makers decided to postpone the release by a month, instead choosing to release the film on October 23.
