From an aspiring artist to a fifty-year-old groom

Now 50 years old, Aravind Akash has started a new chapter in his personal life as he continues his journey in cinema. Born in Punjab, he moved to Chennai with dreams of becoming an actor and began his career as a group dancer in Rajinikanth’s film ‘Padayappa’.

He played small roles in films like “Hey Ram” starring Kamal Haasan and “Uyirile Kalanthathu” starring Suriya. The actor made his acting debut in the Malayalam blockbuster film ‘Nandanam’.

He entered Tamil films with the Sathyaraj starrer film ‘Sena’.

‘Chennai 600028’ remains the biggest achievement of his career

Aravind Akash gained a strong identity in Tamil cinema with Venkat Prabhu’s ‘Chennai 600028’, which was his biggest breakthrough. Later, he became a regular in the director’s films like ‘Saroja’, ‘Goa’, ‘Mankatha’, ‘Biriyani’, ‘Mass’, ‘Chennai 600028 Part 2’ and ‘Maanaadu’, often paired with Premgi Amaren. He may not have had many hit singles but his regular appearances and memorable supporting roles made him a household name.
