How does Aarav and Chandni’s love story begin?

The narrative follows Aarav Rawat, played by Lakshya, whose ordinary first day at engineering college is changed after seeing Chandni Rawat, portrayed by Ananya Panday, performing a fusion dance on stage.

Their friendship soon turns into romance, and soon the two share their first kiss and begin a romantic relationship. What initially seems like a carefree college romance soon takes an unexpected turn.

Pregnancy changes everything

A big conflict enters their lives after Chandni becomes pregnant.

Aarav believes they are too young to raise a child and encourages her to undergo an abortion so they can focus on their careers. However, Chandni changes her mind at the hospital and decides to keep the baby.Despite his hesitation, Aarav chose to support her. The couple then informs their families of the pregnancy and their desire to marry, but both families reject the relationship. In the end, their close friends intervene and help them tie the knot.

Marriage, parenthood, and emotional distance

After marriage, Aarav and Chandni move into a modest house and prepare for fatherhood. Aarav takes up a teaching job to manage expenses, while Chandni gives birth to their daughter Kavya. At first, the couple tries to share the responsibilities equally, but sleepless nights, exhaustion, and emotional stress begin to affect their bond. The relationship reaches a breaking point during an argument where Aarav angrily grabs Chandni’s face. This moment reminds Chandi of the toxic patterns she witnessed growing up, and she decides she doesn’t want her daughter to inherit the same trauma. Choosing self-respect over emotional dependence, she leaves Aarav and later sends him divorce papers.

Why does Chandni refuse to reunite at first?

Even after the breakup, Chandni admits that she still loves Aarav, but she cannot forgive the moment he turned physically aggressive. Aarav tries again and again to mend the relationship, but Chandni stands firm.

He is allowed to meet Kavya every weekend, and over time, those moments slowly soften Chandni’s feelings. However, she chooses to move on with her life and eventually gets engaged to Kevin, played by Paresh Pahuja.
