Carly Rae Jepsen is officially back with a new album.
The Canadian pop star announced her latest release, Day and nightInterscope Records announced a double album on Monday. Scheduled for release on September 18, the first single, “On Wires,” is scheduled for release later this week.
The 24-track album is described as the artist’s “most cohesive statement to date” and features 12 songs for daytime and 12 songs for nighttime. “Day and night “It captures a blurred, dream-like sense of time as nights stretch into mornings and days fade into nights, creating a feeling of stopping in a single moment,” says an album release.
The singer has been teasing the project on social media for over a week. She posted a video and album cover earlier today on Instagram. “It’s a double album baby! You guessed it right,” one post read in part.

day It leans more towards 70s-inspired psychedelic pop Night Full of heavy dance-pop music. Jepsen worked with several collaborators including Tavish Crowe, Kyle Shearer, Nate Seifert and Cole MGN on the album.
Jepsen has spent the past fifteen years releasing some of pop’s most iconic music. Her hit song “Call Me Maybe” which was released in Canada in 2011 became a hit worldwide in 2012 and earned the singer two Grammy Award nominations.
“On Wires” is set to be released on streaming platforms on Friday via Interscope Records. Jepsen has been announced as taking part in the All Things Go music festival in New York, which will take place on September 27 and will be her first live performance of the year.
