Callum Turner and Monica Barbaro are looking for some action with the trailer for their sex comedy Only one night.
The pair star in the Will Gluck film, which Universal Pictures is scheduled to release in theaters on August 7. The trailer was unveiled on Wednesday at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
Only one night It stars Turner and Barbaro as two strangers hoping to find a romantic connection on the one night of the year when premarital sex is legally permitted. Molly Ringwald, LeVar Burton, Maya Hawke, Julia Fox and Estee Haim round out the cast.
“This is the best pizza I’ve ever had,” Barbaro tells Turner. “I think it’s better than sex – I can’t remember.”
Later, she lamented, “Tonight is crazy. I just wanted to find a good man.”
The trailer then flashes back to see the duo reuniting earlier that day. “Your legs don’t make any sense,” Turner told her. “Your hairline doesn’t make any sense,” Barbaro responds.
Gluck, whose previous directorial credits include Anyone but you and Easy AHe directed the film from his own script. The project topped the 2024 Blacklist with its original script from Travis Browne, who holds the story credit. Gluck and Jacqueline Moneta serve as producers.
Turner’s recent credits include features Pruning the rose bush, Eternity and Boys in the boatalong with the chain Air masters. Barbaro is known as Top Gun: Maverick, Crime 101 Her role was nominated for an Oscar Completely anonymous.
CinemaCon is the annual event for Hollywood exhibitors and studios that takes place this year from April 13-16. It’s the official convention of Cinema United.
