James Marsters, who played Buffy’s love interest Spike, wrote in a letter: “There’s a hole in the world. Anthony Head has moved on from us. He was a gentle, steady presence on the film set.” buffy, And the best actor in the cast. He was the best of us. I was lucky to know him and learn from him. He left the world a better place for his presence. Thank you, Tony, for everything you do.”
“Rest in peace. He was so kind and generous of spirit,” David Boreanaz, who played Angel, another love interest for Buffy, who will also be getting his own spinoff series, wrote on his Instagram Story.
Later on Friday, Boreanaz shared an old photo of the two of them smiling, writing: “That’s how I met Anthony, always laughing and smiling. And that’s how I’ll always remember him. All the kindness and spirit he inspired in me. Thank you brother. Rest in peace.”
Emma Caulfield, who played former demon Anya Jenkins, shared a story to remember the actress on her Instagram account, writing: “This photo was taken on the London Underground in 2011. Went to visit my friend Tony on the set of a movie The iron lady. We ate lunch, went to a record store, had dinner and drinks and laughed until our sides hurt. It was a perfect day. There were many such moments with this amazing human being who I was lucky enough to call my friend for 27 years. He was kind, wise, and a guide in difficult times. You were so loved.
And Charisma Carpenter, who plays Cordelia Chase in Buffy The chain as well as Angel shared their tributes on social media. “Tony brought life to a character who for many was the father figure they needed but didn’t have at home. Fans everywhere are certainly feeling sad, and for that I am deeply sorry,” Carpenter’s Instagram post read in part. “I wasn’t as close to Tony as some of the other actors, and it pains me that I have to say ‘was.'” However, I still feel affected by this loss, and my heart truly goes out to my classmates who remain close to him and his family to this day. I hold them all in my thoughts and sending love.
