Brian Cox does it again.

Cox took aim at Johnny Depp, Ian McKellen, and Edward Norton, as well as director Quentin Tarantino and President Donald Trump in his latest unfiltered remarks.

Johnny Depp: Cox said he turned down a role in a movie Pirates of the Caribbean franchise because he did not want to work with the actor, whom he described as “over-the-top and over-the-top”.

Quentin Tarantino: “Meretricious” (defined as “superficially attractive but in reality having no value or integrity”). Cox added:[When directing] I love honoring an actor’s performance. With a Quentin Tarantino movie, all you see is Quentin Tarantino.

Donald Trump: “Trump doesn’t care about people. He only cares about oil.” [in Iran]. There is only damned greed that motivates him, nothing else. “The idea that it frees people is nonsense.”

Ironically, Cox added that he had just filmed a new series of ads for McDonald’s Happy Meals (he’s done audio ads for the company previously, too).

Cox is currently promoting his new film, Glenrothanwhich I directed. He has previously made headlines mainly for criticizing his colleague succession Star Jeremy Strong described his acting style as “very annoying”. This time, Cox said: “I don’t want to talk about Jeremy, because I’ve had a lot of problems and he begged me to stop talking about him. He’s a good actor, Jeremy.”

When asked if all his complaining about fellow Hollywood talent had cost him anything, personally or professionally, Cox replied: “Well, I don’t know yet if it’s caused me problems. I mean my wife keeps saying, ‘Brian, be careful.’ Brian, be careful.’ I’m thinking, ‘Damn, I don’t want to be careful anymore!’ I’ll be 80 this year. Fuck it! I’ll say what I want to say.’
