'I'm doing my best': Brendan Fraser talks about preparing for 'The Mummy 4' and getting 'the band back together'

Brendan Fraser is best known for his role in The Mummy. Now, as the longtime cast prepares for The Mummy 4, Fraser is all about getting back to his best to take on the role of Rick O’Connell.

In a recent interview, the famous star talked about how he prepared for the fourth film and how things went for him.

Fraser recently joined Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where he opened up about his upcoming project. Fraser revealed that he was training to get in shape for the film, and commented that he was trying his best to prepare for this. “I’m doing my best,” Fraser added, while also sharing that the film was happening after a very long period of uncertainty.Moreover, he also shared that he had been wondering for some time whether the project would come to fruition or not. “I was optimistic for a long time, and then I said to myself: ‘I don’t know if they are.’ Then other mummy movies were made. But listen, what we’re going to do is go back to the locations, and maybe I should stop talking like that, because I don’t want to give everything away.”

Who will all be back in ‘The Mummy 4’?

Speaking about The Mummy 4, Fraser also commented that they will be getting “the band back together” for the new film.

He also added that “the only way to do it. So, we’re going to give the public what they’ve been bothering us all for, for the last 20 years.”In an interview with The Associated Press last year, Fraser talked about how the film had been a long time coming, and spoke candidly about how the movie he wanted to make had never happened earlier. He further explained: “But the one I wanted to make is coming. And I’ve been waiting for this call for 20 years.”

Sometimes it was a faint telegraph. now? “It’s time to give the fans what they want.”As of now, Fraser and Rachel Weisz have been confirmed to reprise their roles in the new film. Weisz was replaced by actress Maria Bello in the third film (Tomb of the Dragon Emperor) due to scheduling conflicts and other commitments and was last seen in her role in The Mummy Returns.
