ETimes’ verdict on “The Leader”
ETimes’ review of the film says, “Saravanan has improved significantly since his debut.
He has been given a character to match his strengths: Sakthivel is morose, serious and soft-spoken, and Saravanan maintains this register steadily. “He won’t be asked to carry heavy emotional burdens, but he doesn’t need to.”
Actors and performances
Besides Saravanan, the film features Andrea Jeremiah, Shaam, Santhosh Pratap, Payal Rajput and Eyal in the lead roles. Our review also says: “Andrea, Sham and Santhosh Pratap deliver powerful performances that complement their presence and keep the film’s dramatic engine running.
The group functions as a unit and not as a showcase for any individual artist. A leader never pretends to be something he is not. Logic won’t survive the connection to this plot, and anyone looking for coherence will find their patience rewarded with more gunshots and explosions.
“Honestly, no one seems to want anything beyond that.”With the weekend’s momentum, “Leader” has a chance to boost its box office performance in the coming days.Disclaimer: Box office numbers and data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
