Longtime booking agent Lucy Dickens has joined CAA, the company announced Monday, days after it was revealed she was leaving WME.
Dickens will serve on CAA’s CEO committee, the agency said, adding that she “will continue to work directly with major music artists to help them achieve their goals.”
“I’m really excited to join CAA,” Deakins said in a statement. “I have long admired the company’s vision, leadership and the amazing team behind it. What matters most to me is the opportunity to continue to build deep creative partnerships with artists and help them realize their ambitions on the global stage.”
Deakins is best known as Adele’s long-time agent. CAA has not specified which artists it will bring with it. Dickens comes to CAA after first joining WME in 2019, where she was promoted to global head of contemporary music and touring following the pandemic. On Friday, WME co-president Christian Muirhead announced she was leaving in a memo to staff, saying Dickens had “led major engagements, built innovative tourism models, and brought exceptional heart and enthusiasm to our business.”
In a statement, CAA Co-President and CEO Brian Lord described Dickens as a tremendous business leader and exceptional agent, with a deep understanding of talent and what it takes to help them achieve their most ambitious goals.
“She is a dynamic, thoughtful and pragmatic leader with invaluable global management experience, creativity and strategic insight,” Lord said. “We look forward to working with her across all departments of our company.”
