Boney Kapoor shares Mom 2 movie update; Unveils a vision for World Film City; The Prime Minister describes Modi as an achiever

Producer Boney Kapoor praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an event in New Delhi, calling him an “achiever” who has led the country through several difficult periods.Boney Kapoor attended the launch of Harinder Singh Sikka’s The Chabimaster. Speaking on the sidelines of the event, the veteran producer expressed his pride in the progress made by India and his confidence in the country’s leadership.

During his interaction with ANI, Boney Kapoor spoke at length about the leadership and security agencies in the country.“I’m proud of the people who run the entire defence, the country, everything,” he said.

Mom 2Goes on the floors in New Film City

Apart from talking about national affairs, Boney Kapoor also shared updates about his upcoming production, ‘Mom 2’, which is the sequel to the 2017 film ‘Mom’ starring the late Sridevi.

A vision for a world-class entertainment center

Boney Kapoor also explained his ambitious plans for the International Film City project. According to him, the facility will go beyond traditional film production infrastructure.“Our efforts are to make sure that it (Film City) is different and refined in every sense of the word. Besides Film City, there will be a theme park. This will have a lot of entertainment sections. Which will probably surprise many. All genres of films, OTT, drama, TV, serials. We will make podcast sets. Everything. There will also be a media center here. So everything related to entertainment and media will have a base here,” he said.

During the inaugural press conference, Boney Kapoor also announced an incentive for OTT creators. He revealed that projects can currently shoot on sets at Film City for free.Explaining the decision, Boney Kapoor said, “Yes, but only in this group. That’s because this group represents good luck. It’s an incentive for other producers to come and for us, the more people can benefit from this, the more people will come and the more discussions will arise about this film city.
