After the uproar over the supposed caste title, Manoj Bajpayee’s film is no more Goskhor Panda.
Neeraj Pandey in his affidavit regarding the new address of Ghooskhor Pandat, said, “Any address which may hereafter be determined and approved shall not be similar to the previous address.”
In his affidavit regarding the withdrawal of the attack, title director Neeraj Pandey said: “I respectfully confirm that the previous title, ‘Ghooskhor Pandat’, has been unequivocally withdrawn and may not be used in any way. While the new title has not yet been finalized, I pledge that any title that may be subsequently decided and approved will not be similar or provocative to the previous title to which objections were raised, and must accurately reflect the narrative and purpose of the film without causing unintended interpretations… I state Also that all promotional materials, posters, trailers and sponsored content under the previous heading had already been withdrawn, prior to the inclusion of the present petition.”
In a related incident, a minister from Bihar objected to the title of another allegedly communal film Yadav GK Love Story. JD(U) spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad said, “Films with such titles that refer to caste are raising tensions in society. Earlier too, petitions related to the film were pending before the court, and now this seems to be another attempt to create controversy…”
Meanwhile, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked Anurag Kashyap to remove the reference to Donald Trump in his film. Kennedy.
