Grammy Award-winning singers Billie Eilish and SZA were among a group of surprise guests who showed up during Justin Bieber’s headlining concert at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival until the early morning hours on Sunday.
Bieber returned as the headliner for the second week of the Desert Music Festival, immediately hugging Eilish, who broke down — laughing in what appeared to be equal parts embarrassment and delight — after she was wheeled onto the stage for Bieber to serenade during a performance of his 2009 hit “One Less Lonely Girl.” The headliner then brought her to a chair on the minimally designed stage to sing the song. Bieber seemed to be enjoying the moment as well, as he laughed with Eilish throughout the song.
The “Daisies” singer played the song as part of a section of his stripped-back Coachella headlining set in which he pulls up old YouTube music videos to sing along to. The group’s segment produced a rare sight — a present-day Bieber singing alongside his shockingly youthful past self. The audience was mesmerized by almost all of the songs during the throwback portion, but especially when the audience realized that Eilish was on stage.
The “Wildflower” singer wasn’t the only guest to join Bieber on stage. He was also joined by SZA, who came out near the end of his set to perform with him. The duo surprised the audience with their hit song “Snooze”. Bieber’s Coachella crowd erupted when SZA took the stage.
Bieber told the “Kill Bill” singer he loved her “so much” before she admitted she was so nervous she couldn’t walk off stage. The “Peaches” singer ushered SZA off stage, and they chanted their love for each other as she exited.
Big Sean, Sexy Red and Dijon also joined Bieber on stage to perform throughout the set. The headliner had special guests during the first weekend of the festival, but there were a bit more in the second week.
The second weekend seems to be the preferred option for surprise special guests. PinkPantheress highlighted a host of famous faces during its Saturday Mojave tent set, including Janelle Monae, Zara Larsson, Tyriq Withers, Chase Infiniti, Manon of KATSEYE and more.
Olivia Rodrigo joined Addison Rae on the main stage at Coachella earlier today. The duo performed Ray’s song “Headphones On” and the first live performance of Rodrigo’s new single “Drop Dead.”
Pop star Sabrina Carpenter wowed the crowd at her headlining concert Friday night by featuring Madonna. The duo even sang a rendition of Madonna’s song “Like a Prayer.” The hit song returned to the zeitgeist late last year after a video was released Hot competition Superstar Connor Story’s dancing to the track has gone viral.
Karol G is set to close out the festival with a headlining set on Sunday night.
