Donna Motsinger, one of the defendants in Bill Cosby’s civil case, said the comedian plans to skip the trial and will not testify live, with jurors hearing his side only through pre-recorded testimony. Bill Cosby’s testimony disputes in civil trial
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Motsinger says Cosby will not testify directly at the trial. She claims that he also “will not show his face at the trial either.” Instead, the only testimony Cosby provided to the jury would come from a recorded statement made earlier in the case.Motsinger accused Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her more than five decades ago. She claims he gave her a pill that she thought was aspirin. After taking it, she said she started to feel unwell. And then she woke up in her bed wearing only her underwear.In previous deposition testimony referenced in the case, Cosby admitted that he obtained a recreational prescription for Quaaludes from a gynecologist during a poker game.
He said he planned to use the pills to give to women “in the hope of having sex with them.” This testimony is expected to be pivotal in the trial.
