‘Bhooth Bangla’ collections for day 8
Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar, entered its second weekend strong, crossing the Rs 90 crore mark at the domestic box office.
However, his previously uninterrupted run now faces competition from the Hollywood biopic “Michael.”On day 8 (2nd Friday), ‘Bhooth Bangla’ collected a net collection of Rs 5.75 crore across 8,573 shows. While this represents a notable increase from Thursday’s collections, the film’s net collection in India has reached Rs 90.15 crore, after closing its first week at a strong Rs 84.40 crore, according to a Scanlik report.
Total ‘Bhooth Bangla’ abroad
In terms of total value, the India collections of the film stand at Rs 107.20 crore.
Overseas, ‘Bhooth Bangla’ added Rs 2.50 crore on the eighth day, taking its total international gross to Rs 37.50 crore. This pushes its total global collection to Rs 144.70 crore so far.
“Bhooth Bangla” vs “Michael”
The film was an undisputed success at the box office, but faced unexpected competition with the release of the Hollywood biopic “Michael”, based on the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. The film, starring Jaafar Jackson in the lead, surprised everyone with an impressive collection of Rs 3.80 crore on Friday. With an addition of Rs 1.70 crore from preview screenings, the film has made an estimated debut of Rs 5.50 crore as per early estimates.This puts the film behind the collections of ‘Bhooth Bangla’ by just Rs 25 lakh.
