‘Bhooth Bangla’ Day 1 collection

The horror-comedy, directed by Priyadarshan, grossed an estimated Rs 12.25 crore on its first day in theatres. When combined with the Rs 3.50 crore net collection from paid preview screenings, the film’s total net domestic collection is around Rs 15.75 crore.This number is in line with, and slightly exceeds, early trade expectations for an opening of Rs 15 lakh crore.

According to sacnilk, Bhooth Bangla has generated global collections of Rs 23.90 lakh crore with an India gross of Rs 18.90 lakh crore and overseas collection of Rs 5 lakh crore.

With this opening, ‘Bhooth Bangla’ ended the dominance of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, which held the top spot for four consecutive weeks. On day 30, the Ranveer Singh starrer saw a sharp decline, collecting nearly Rs 2.70 crore nett and Rs 3.24 crore gross for the day.Despite the slowdown, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ continues to register a huge cumulative net collection of Rs 1,105.82 crore.

‘Bhooth Bangla’ is among Akshay Kumar’s best post-pandemic openers

Bhooth Bangla has now entered the top five in terms of highest opening day grossers of Akshay Kumar’s post-pandemic releases. While ‘Sooryavanshi’ remains at number one with an estimated collection of Rs 26.29 crore, ‘Housefull 5’ is at second place with a net collection of Rs 24 crore.
