'Bhatt gave me Saab 'Saaransh': Anupam Kher calls himself 'richer man' over 'destiny problem' Mahesh Bhatt in emotional post

Anupam Kher paid a heartfelt tribute to director Mahesh Bhatt on Instagram, calling him a ‘maker of destiny’. The actor expressed his gratitude for the lifelong opportunities, wisdom and lessons Bhatt gave him. The two first collaborated in the 1984 film Saaransh and have worked together in several films since then.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently spoke about his special relationship with director Mahesh Bhatt, expressing deep gratitude for the role Bhatt has played in shaping his life and career over the years.

Anupam Kher calls Mahesh Bhatt “Maker of Destiny”

Khair described Bhatt as a “destiny maker” and took to social media to express his heart, thanking the director for the countless opportunities, wisdom, and guidance he has provided over the years. In his note, the actor explained that what they shared was never just a professional relationship, but a bond that deeply influenced who he was as a person and as an artist.

Anupam Kher writes a heartfelt letter to Mahesh Bhatt

Anupam wrote on Instagram: “Saaransh for the photo! I clicked this photo last week in my office.

But I did not intend to write an article about this topic. Last week #MaheshBhattSaab came to my office. Behind Bhatt Saab stood a small statue of me, made by a talented artist. You clicked the picture! Suddenly, the image became a metaphor. No matter where life takes me, no matter how many films I do, awards I get, or milestones I cross, a part of me will always be that little man standing quietly behind #BhattSaab.

Because some people just don’t give you chances. They change the direction of your destiny.

Bhatt saab gave me saaransh. PV Pradhan gave it to me. But as the years passed, I realized that this role was just the beginning. The greatest gift was the honor of knowing him. Every encounter with him was an invitation to think deeper, question more honestly, and look beyond the obvious.

“He has an extraordinary ability to strip away pretense and face life as it is!! Beautiful, painful, contradictory, and yet deeply meaningful.

The older I get, the more I realize that our true wealth lies not in what we collect, but in the people who expand our consciousness. People who challenge us, provoke us, inspire us, and inadvertently shape our inner world. Bhatt Saab was one such presence in my life. Some relationships can’t be measured in years, movies, or achievements.

They have become part of your emotional and intellectual DNA. Looking at this picture, I felt grateful.

Not for a career. Not for success. But for a learning journey that continues every time I sit with him. Bhatt Saab, I will remain a student. I am a richer man because you are in my life. Thank you!” he added further.
