The highly anticipated second season meatthe award-winning Netflix anthology from writer-director Lee Sung Jin, is almost here. Gone are the parking lot arguments, replaced by a country club backdrop graced by a star-studded main cast of Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny.
In the trailer for the season, which the streamer released on Thursday (April 2), a couple is getting hitched, whether they like it or not.
The roughly minute-and-a-half-long trailer begs the question – is Mulligan’s Lindsay happy with Isaac’s Josh. “I think we always knew deep down that it was a temporary band-aid,” Mulligan says. When asked why she used the band-aid, she added: “For the intense pain you feel when you know you chose the wrong person.”
Season two of meat An all-new cast and unrelated story will follow the first season of the show, which received eight Emmy Awards, four Critics’ Choice Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, two Gotham Awards, and two SAG Awards, along with numerous other guild awards. It’s safe to say that the series dominated the 2023 and 2024 awards season. The first season stars Steven Yeun and Ally Wong, who won an Emmy for their performances.
Season 2 will follow a “Generation Z couple.” [who] “It witnesses a disturbing fight between their millennial boss and his wife, according to the season synopsis. Ashley Miller (Spinney) and Austin Davis (Milton), both lower-level employees at a country club, become embroiled in an unconsummated marriage between their general manager, Joshua Martin (Isaac), and his wife, Lindsay Crane Martin (Carey Mulligan).”
Seoyeon Jang has compiled the list of series regulars for this season. Award-winning Korean actors Yoon Yuh-jung and Song Kang-ho will also star alongside William Fichtner, Michaela Hoover and Matthew Kim, better known by his K-pop stage name, BM.

meathailing from A24, was created, showrunner and executive produced by Lee. Jake Schreier, Yeon Wong, Mulligan, Isaac, Milton, Spaeny, Anna Munsch, Kitao Sakurai, and Ethan Kuperberg serve as executive producers for the second season. The eight-episode season will launch on Netflix on April 16.
