Many viewers praised the film’s writing, performances, and emotional depth.
One Twitter review said: ** “A finely crafted film with well-written characters and strong performances from everyone, especially Farzana and Amachi, and the rather catchy background score is very good. The second half of the film seemed a bit long and with some lag.. The emotional bond between Tovino Thomas and the boy could have been better.. The climax gives you a satisfying experience Overall, a decent film!! Rating: 3.25/5.”

Balan is one such movie, thanks @chidaakasham for providing this gem. The treatment takes place in exciting but deeper territory, as the film tells you a lot of moral stories – how the lives of the vulnerable can take unexpected turns and push them beyond limits. The journey of a mother and son through hiding their identity, saving each other in difficult times and continuing to move forward and upward is something that will brighten up your boring day.
Both Farzana and Adhesha deserve all the awards, especially since the latter captures your heart with his innocence and the former makes you root for her!”Disclaimer: Box office numbers and data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
