Oscars season may be over, but London is back on the awards stage again on Sunday thanks to the BAFTA TV Awards.

The 2026 BAFTA Television Awards are being handed out at the Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Center in the British capital. Netflix drama Adolescence It led the nominations with 11, followed by Disney+ A thousand strokes With seven. Comedian and Task manager Host Greg Davies hosts the awards ceremony.

Adolescence and Celebrity traitors They were the biggest winners of the recent BAFTA Television Craft Awards, with each show taking home two awards. Other honors went to Slow horses, Andor, Amadeus, Reunion, Transgressions, Celebrity traitors, The last musician in Auschwitz and Mussolini: son of the century.

Sunday’s ceremony comes a month after Bafta “unreservedly” apologized for the controversy surrounding director John Davidson’s Tourette’s Syndrome at this year’s Bafta Awards, after an independent review found “a number of structural weaknesses in Bafta’s planning, escalation procedures and crisis coordination arrangements”. In particular, the review highlighted that BAFTA “did not fully appreciate the nature of the risks associated with the emergence of live streaming, early warning signs were not escalated, and the absence of a clear operational command structure limited BAFTA’s ability to respond effectively once an incident occurred.”

In her opening remarks, outgoing BAFTA president Sarah Boot wished David Attenborough a happy birthday, celebrated on Friday, and said “TV is not going anywhere” but will continue despite the turmoil and challenges.

With the TV Craft Awards completed, the stage is set for the remaining TV Awards celebrating the best of British television. Who will win in London? Find out here.
