Meanwhile, just 3-4 days before her death, life at home seemed completely normal. Chin2 recalled a quiet and casual evening spent eating mangoes and talking about world affairs, a testament to how alert and engaged she was until the end.What’s even more surprising is what she did just one day before she was admitted to the hospital.
Speaking to Indian Express, Chin2 said, “I went to see a three-hour Marathi play the other day. She came on stage and scolded the people there for keeping the art alive. That’s how she was right till the end.”

Chin2 Bhosle described her death as having occurred “in the most beautiful way possible”, while she was sleeping, without pain, and in a completely calm state. When he offered to visit her in the hospital, she simply told him: “Let me sleep for a while.”
