Anya Taylor-Joy is the latest big name to join the next big name Lord of the Rings film, Search for Gollum.
The Lord of the Rings: The Search for Gollum The film is directed by Andy Serkis, who will reprise his role as Gollum.
Search for Gollum It happens between The hobbit Triple f Lord of the Rings Trilogy, where Aragorn and Gandalf search for Gollum to learn more information about Bilbo’s Ring, the One Ring that threatens all of Middle-earth.
For the film, Ian McKellen will return as Gandalf, alongside Elijah Wood as Frodo, and Lee Pace as Thranduil. Taylor-Joy joins a host of new cast members for the series, including Kate Winslet as Marijole, Jamie Dornan as Strider, and Leo Woodall as Halfvard.
Taylor-Joy is set to play Siren, a Sindar elf from the forest realm and a trusted assassin agent of King Thranduil (Bace).
The film is produced by Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens and Zane Weiner. Ken Cummins, Serkis and Jonathan Cavendish of The Imaginarium are executive producers. Walsh and Bowens wrote the screenplay with Phoebe Gittens and Artie Papageorgiou.
Search for Gollum It is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 17, 2027 via Warner Bros. And New Line.
Taylor-Joy, who is repped by CAA, The Way Management and Felker Toczek, will next appear on Apple TV+ lucky, and later, Denis Villeneuve Sand Dunes: Part Three.
As for others Lord of the Rings projects, Stephen Colbert is writing a second film alongside Boyens and Peter McGee, under the working title Lord of the Rings: Shadow of the past. This movie will come next Search for Gollum He does not have an attached manager yet.
