Veteran star Annu Kapoor, best known for his roles in ‘Main Azaad Hoon’, ‘Mandi’ and ‘Jolly LLB 2’, is very picky when it comes to the projects he wants to pick up. In one of his recent interviews, the star revealed frank details about his life as an actor, and how his stardom and demand never affected the type of films he chose or refused to work in.

Annu Kapoor recently completed 44 years in the entertainment industry and is now gearing up for the release of his next project, ‘Uttar Da Puttar’, which is all set to release on July 24.While speaking to The Deccan Chronicle, the artist shared some insights into his life as an actor and spoke candidly about his mindset when it comes to saying yes or no to projects. “For me, the strength of the story and the strength of my character are what matter most to me.
If both make sense, I wouldn’t mind being paid much less than my usual wage. The character actors survive thanks to good writing and memorable roles.The actor also shared that the film crew or people associated with him never influenced his decision. “I never choose films based on the size of the cast. Whether the lead actor is a big star or a newcomer makes no difference to me.
I just look at the quality of work. I simply do my job honestly. My greatest strengths are my skills, talent and potential. My effort is always to become the complete character.
He explained that this is all an actor can do.

The actor also gave an insight into the kind of character he is playing in his upcoming project ‘Uttar Da Puttar’. He said: “The film is about a man, his circumstances, and the people he meets.
My character is a respected physics professor, but at the same time he is very superstitious. His beliefs create many complications in his personal life, and the story follows how he deals with those conflicts.
“He also shared that although his character is heavily influenced by personal beliefs and superstitions, he does not believe in any of that in real life. He also added that while he is educating himself about everything, there are “unusual coincidences”, however, that cannot be treated as “absolute facts”.

Starring names like Annu Kapoor as Sai Ram Tuteja, Rukhsar Rehman, Brijendra Kala, Pavan Malhotra, and Jeeveshu Ahluwalia, the comedy is all set to hit theaters on July 24. The film is based on a quirky physics teacher who suddenly becomes obsessed with Vastu Shastra and tries to rely on it religiously to change his luck.
