The Madras High Court has settled the ownership dispute over the film ‘Bro Code’, allowing Ravi Mohan Studios to go ahead with the production of their film. A compromise was reached with the liquor manufacturer, ending the legal battle. This paves the way for the film, directed by Karthik Yogi and starring SJ Suryah, to proceed towards its release without further hurdles.
The kidnapping and assault of Kannada filmmaker Anish has changed his course due to the cooperation of the investigation team. What started out as a horrific story about a failed car sale is actually a much larger, planned conspiracy involving financial disputes and secret communications between the parties involved.
With 11 accused, including actress Aishwarya, already in custody, new legal developments have shifted the focus to how the crime was carried out and who played what role.
The court gives more time to conduct a deeper investigation
As India Today reported, the court allowed the police to continue custodial interrogation and collect more evidence. Investigators told the court that the attack was linked to previous financial issues, including an alleged loan of Rs 2.5 lakh and a dispute over investment of around Rs 5-6 lakh in the film ‘Jeevanada Bhashe’.
Sequencing is important because it enables police to verify call logs, follow a financial trail, and build contact between suspects.
From a bogus car deal to a brutal assault
It describes the journey Anish took from Mumbai to Bangalore after he received buyer confirmation for his Honda CRV. He was then allegedly taken to a house in the suburbs, where he was assaulted and pressured to withdraw his previous complaints. Police say he was robbed of gold and cash, forced into a car, and attacked again near the toll area, and was later taken to hospital. The alleged use of his ATM card to withdraw money has strengthened the theft angle in the case.
Larger plot under the scanner
As the victim recovers from various injuries, the focus is on the case to find out the initiator, the people who organized the meeting, and who were contacted during the attack.
