Allu Arjun surprised fans with the powerful first look of his upcoming film ‘Raaka’ on his birthday (April 8). The poster quickly went viral across social media due to its intense transformation.
With a shaved head, dark eye makeup, animal paw-shaped accessories, and a fierce expression, the actor appeared in a never-before-seen group avatar. Fans immediately started comparing the film’s impact to Pushpa’s. Now, reports suggest that the makers have deliberately chosen the title ‘Raaka’ following the successful formula used in ‘Pushpa’, where the name of the lead character becomes the identity of the film.
‘Raaka’ follows the ‘Pushparaj’ formula.
According to Hindustan Times, director Atlee wanted the title to revolve entirely around Allu Arjun’s character, just like Pushparaj became a nationwide sensation in the film Pushpa. Instead of opting for a regular story-based title, the team reportedly decided to turn the hero character’s name into a strong cinematic brand. The makers believe that ‘Raaka’ can create the same emotional connection with audiences across India.
Fans also noticed special marks on Allu Arjun’s forehead in the poster, which resemble a Viking tattoo. This has increased curiosity about the film’s action-packed and rugged world.
Atlee calls “Raka” his dream project of 18 years
After releasing the first look, Atlee shared an emotional message on social media about the project. He said: “Raka is not just a movie, it is an idea that I carried in my heart for 18 years, and even after facing many challenges, I never gave up on this story.”
His statement made fans even more excited for the film. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone will reportedly play the lead opposite Allu Arjun, making the project even bigger.
The combination of Atlee and Allu Arjun has already created huge expectations in both South Indian cinema and the Hindi market.
Allu Arjun is aiming big with the song Raaka
The film is being produced on a large scale, while young composer Sai Abhyankar is scoring the music. The production house has promised a film that will take Indian cinema to the global level. After the massive success of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, Allu Arjun is now aiming to reach a bigger global market with ‘Raaka’.
