More about Navya Nanda
While Nanda is known for her intense focus on completing her education, there are many aspects of her life that are very noteworthy. She comes from one of the country’s most famous families, and is the granddaughter of one of Bollywood’s biggest actors, Amitabh Bachchan; However, she moved away from her family’s stardom life and instead focused on creating her own path.Over the years, she has explained on multiple occasions why she chose to step away from her family’s business in the entertainment industry.
In an old interview while speaking with Mojo Story, she revealed that she never felt like this was the right career path for her. She explained more about this while adding: “No, never. I get asked that all the time… and I don’t know why. I feel like I was always raised in a way that my parents told me, ‘Don’t do something if you’re not 100% motivated or confident, or if it’s something you really want to do.’
This was never something I wanted to do. I’ve always been fascinated by tractors and my father and what he did.
When he came back from work, I would talk to him about it. That was more exciting for me.”At that time she also added that although she likes the profession the way it is, and even actively consumes songs and films, she never wanted to participate in it.In another interview with CNBC TV 18, she stated that she was more interested in her father’s work as an industrialist. She said, “I grew up in Delhi, I grew up around my father and grandfather who are businessmen and industrialists.
I think for me that’s what I saw most as a kid. I wasn’t around film sets or magic growing up. It was very much about the stock markets and my dad coming back and talking to me about tractors, which is what we do.
That, for me, is where the passion lies.”Outside of her educational background, Nanda has worked on many other projects. This includes her startup, called Project Naveli, which she created to promote gender equality and provide assistance to those who need it.
