Tamil actor and racing enthusiast Ajith Kumar has resumed work just days after losing his mother Mohini Mani. She died on May 30 at the age of 89. The actor returned to the race track on Thursday and received support from fans across social media platforms.
Ajith Kumar’s racing team shares an emotional update
The official social media account of Ajith Kumar Racing shared several pictures of the actor before he returns to racing activities. The pictures showed Ajith wearing racing gear as he prepares for the next phase of his work schedule.
Along with the pictures, the team wrote: “Back to work with a heavy heart but life must go on! #AjithKumarRacing #AK #AjithKumar #AjithRedantRacing.” I also took some pictures of quiet moments before the race.
Family remembers Mohini Mani’s trip
The family also shared heartfelt words while remembering Mohini Mani and the life she lived. They reflected on her values, her personality, and her impact on everyone around her.“We are comforted, even in this time of grief, that she lived a long life and can be counted among the lucky ones — that she knew endless love and care for her loved ones and genuine respect for all who knew her good nature, selfless spirit and quiet grace,” the statement read.
They also talked about her experiences growing up during an important period in history. “As part of the wave of Sindhis who migrated to newly independent India at the time of Partition, as a child, she left everything behind and started anew. She also derived great satisfaction and pride from seeing her brood continue to do well in life,” the family added.

Ajith reportedly returned from Dubai soon after hearing the news and reached Chennai to be with his family. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay also met Ajith and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family.
