Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has extended her support to the student protests across the country.Soon after fellow Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah spoke out about the protest, the actress took it upon herself to share an emotional note, in which she praised the country’s youth for their resilience and called on people to listen to the voices of the younger generation.
Alia Bhatt supports students’ protest
Alia posted a statement on social media that said: “The past few days have broken my heart and then mended it again and again with hope.”The actress, who starred in YRF’s recent spy thriller “Alpha,” continued, “Behind every student who stands their ground there is a dream, the hope of a family, and a journey of countless sacrifices. They represent not only themselves but everyone who has supported them, while creating a better path for those who will come after them.”
Celebrating the students’ courage and determination, she also wrote: “Their courage humbles me. Their determination holds a mirror up to all of us, asking whether we are truly listening to the very people who will inherit and shape the future of this country.”She concluded by saying, “For the students. By the students. The future is theirs. Jai Hind.”

Her statement comes shortly after Salman Khan also commented on the ongoing protests, with several public figures now speaking out in solidarity with the students.
Many actors took to social media, while others took to the streets to join the protests and lend their support to the student movement, after many criticized Bollywood stars for their “silence” on the issue.
