Abhimanyu Singh reacts to Saurabh Dwivedi's trolling after his acting debut in Saif Ali Khan's Kartavia: 'Saanp ke bill me haath nahi daalte'

Abhimanyu Singh has expressed his opinion on the trolling faced by journalist Saurabh Dwivedi after his acting debut in Kartavia. Speaking in a recent interview, the actor said that while every profession deserves respect, acting is a completely different craft that cannot be mastered overnight.Abhimanyu, who has received praise for his work in South Indian cinema across multiple languages, also spoke about why he feels talent is often recognized outside the home country first, and compared it to late actor Irrfan Khan.

“Ghar ki murgi dal barabar”

When asked why Indian cinema did not give him the kind of journey his talent deserved despite being appreciated by southern filmmakers, Abhimanyu said people often look far away for opportunities while ignoring talents close to them.“Kai baar hum aur kisi bahut behtareen cheez ki talaash meindoor dekh rahe hote hain, jabki woh cheez yahin hoti hai. Bas out of focus hoti hai. Ghar ki murgi daal barabar wali baat hai,” he told Indian Rush.

“Irfan bhai ko bhi pehle confession nahi mela tha”

Recalling Irrfan Khan’s journey, Abhimanyu added that Bollywood started evaluating the actor differently only after Hollywood recognized him.“Irrfan bhai just bade bhai jaise the. Jab tak Hollywood ne unko confession nahi dya, Bollywood ne unko us nazar se nahi dekha.”

Share Jab Log in ne dekha ki ‘arre yeh Hollywood actor pahunch gaya’, tab unko main main Milne Lage. The actor also reflected on why southern filmmakers embrace him more easily than the Hindi film industry. He said: “Ho sakta hai main kisi group ka hissa nahi hoon. Ho sakta hai main utna social nahi hoon. Ya shayad main apna pr theek se nahi kar raha.”

“Instagram followers are successfully following the movie Nahi Hoti”

Abhimanyu also spoke about the growing obsession with social media popularity in casting decisions.

According to him, the number of followers does not guarantee box office success.“Ek casting wale ne mujhe bola ki main hero, heroine aur main villain ko chhod kar baaki follower actors ke base pe cast kar raha hoon,” he recalls. The actor said he later pointed out that despite casting social media stars, films still fail. He explained, “Social media alag game hai. Phone pe kisi koscroll karte hue dekhna aur paise kharch karke theater mein dekhna bahut bada difference hai.”

Abhimanyu Singh on trolling Saurabh Dwivedi

Responding to the criticism over Saurabh Dwivedi’s debut in Kartavya, Abhimanyu said that every profession requires a unique skill set.He said: “Aap ek field mein bahut acche ho, iska matlab yeh nahi ki doosri field mein bhi utne hi acche ho jaoge. Woh bahut acche journalist hain. Lekin act alag cheez hai.”Using a metaphor to illustrate his point, he added: “Ho sakta hai aap bichchu ka zeher utaarna jaante ho, lekin iska matlab yeh nahi ki aap saanp ke bill mein haath daal do.”Meanwhile, the actor clarified that he has no problem with influencers or social media personalities entering films. “Har kisi ka ghar chal raha hai, woh bhi ek field hai. Jo log isko encash kar pa rahe hain, I am happy for them,” he stated.

“Issy Lee Min Kam interviews Dita Hun”

Abhimanyu, who is known for his outspoken opinions, admitted that he often avoids giving interviews because he tends to express his opinion without filters.“Main retract nahi karta. Jo dil mein hota hai, moh pe aa jata hai.”

Isi liye main kam interviews with Dita Hun. He said bata nahi meri kaunsi baat kisiko puri lag gaye. The actor also revealed that despite the years of struggle, he deliberately tried not to be bitter. Sharing an anecdote about working with Vikram, he said that the Tamil star’s grounded nature greatly inspired him.“Success is Saath Bhi Wahi Insaan Rehna Chahiye. Ab tak maine khud ko bitterness se bachake rakha hai,” Abhimanyu concluded.
