On the brightest of day and the darkest of night, Aaron Pierre will face the power of the Man of Steel.

Pierre, who already plays Green Lantern hero John Stewart in the upcoming DC series on HBO Lanternsjoins the cast Man of tomorrowJames Gunn’s 2025 sequel Superman.

Gunn wrote the screenplay and is directing Man of tomorrowwhich is scheduled to begin production this summer in Atlanta.

David Corenswet returns as Superman and Nicholas Hoult returns as Lex Luthor in a story that sees the two teams up to fight the techno-alien threat known as Brainiac. The latter is played by German actor Lars Edinger, one of Superman’s classic villains.

The film is set to return many of the cast, including Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), and Sara Sampaio (Eve Teichmacher). Returning heroes include Hawkgirl, played by Isabella Merced, and The Engineer, played by María Gabriela de Faria.

Production is scheduled to begin in April in Atlanta and continue through the summer.

Pierre as Stuart is part of Gunn’s vision of merging the DC screen universe, where the DC films and DC TV shows integrate seamlessly as one story universe. Stuart is a Green Lantern, one of the space cops who patrols Earth and its sector as part of the Green Lantern Corps, and his appearance makes sense since both Superman and Brainiac are space-faring characters of alien origins. Pierre makes his first appearance as a character in… LanternsDC Studios’ first live-action series that will debut in August.

Pierre caught Hollywood’s attention with a lead role Rebel Ridgea 2024 Netflix thriller directed by Jérémie Saulnier. Last year he did a stint on Apple TV Morning show He did the voice work on Mufasa: The Lion King And also last month A goat.
