Time travel changes everything in ‘Aadu 3’

The film received mixed reviews, but the ending generated tremendous excitement. What starts as another outrageous adventure for Shaji Pappan develops into a large-scale time travel saga. The final act presents battle scenes and also mishaps across the ages that look unlike anything seen before in Malayalam cinema.Characters from different centuries and realities collide, giving the film a grand multiverse-like scope. The biggest revelation is that Shaji Baban is no longer tied to one timeline. Events can be repeated, reset and completely changed.

Heavenly stone Shaji sends Baban to 2370

In the climax, Shaggy changes the past and secures the Celestial Stone, also known as Stardust.

The ancient artifact has the ability to manipulate time itself. But his victory comes at a heavy cost. Reality breaks, and Shaggy is transported to a future command center in the year 2370 AD.This dramatic cliffhanger is designed to lead directly into the sequel and raise big questions about Shaggy’s fate.

Two centuries collide at Nagathan Bridge

The story begins in the year 2025, with Shaji Baban and his gang chasing one last fortune after their previous spoils have become worthless.

Meanwhile, Saathan Xavier plans to destroy Nagathan’s bridge to get the Celestial Stone. The Dude, SI Shamir, and Kate Lara, an activist from the Future Organization, meet at the bridge. When treasure chests are opened and found empty, chaos erupts. The narrative also moves to the year 1790. Maharaja Padmanabhan Thampuran, played by Jayasuriya, hides the real Stardust while Sultan Azam Khan threatens his kingdom.

What happened at the climax of Aadu 3?

During the climax, both timelines are merged. Padmanabhan is pulled back to the year 2025 and is confused with Shaji Pappan. Meanwhile, Shaji and Dod are thrown into the 18th century and mistaken for historical warriors. In a mid-credit scene, Shaji Baban charges into battle against Azam Khan’s soldiers with his trademark swagger. The story then extends to the year 2370, where a totalitarian organization uses stardust to control existence.Baba, portrayed by Endrance, explains that time is not linear but a living web where every action resonates across the centuries. The ending serves as a huge setup for the final act. Shaji Baban’s ‘Last Journey’ becomes a time odyssey filled with reincarnations, alternate versions and multiverse-like twists.Although Shaji Baban changes history and secures the stone, he remains trapped in a collapsed timeline, setting the stage for the stunning conclusion to the Aadu saga.“Aadu 3” is really just a setup to introduce and establish the old and new characters, and in the next part, we’ll hopefully see more chaos happening to mix up two different worlds.
