UPTT 2026: Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test Notification has been released. The registration process began on March 27, 2026 and is currently ongoing. Interested candidates can apply through the official website at upesc.up.gov.in.The examination body also introduced the One Time Registration (OTR) system this year. Candidates must complete the OTR process before filling out the application form. Without completing the OTR, candidates will not be able to sit for the exam.As per the schedule, the registration process will remain open until April 26, 2026. UPTET 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on July 2, 3 and 4, 2026.
UPTET 2026: OTR is mandatory for application
The authority explained that candidates must first complete a one-time registration process. During OTR, candidates need to fill basic details and create a unique OTR ID. This ID will be required to complete the application form.
UPTET 2026: Eligibility Criteria
UPTET is a mandatory qualification for candidates seeking teaching jobs in government and aided schools in Uttar Pradesh.
- Primary level (grades 1 to 5): Candidates must have passed senior secondary school or equivalent with at least 50 percent marks and must possess a diploma in primary education of at least two years or equivalent qualification.
- Upper primary level (grades 6 to 8): Candidates must have a graduation degree with at least 50 percent marks and must possess a diploma in primary education of at least two years or a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree, as per the official notification issued earlier.
UPTET 2026: Registration Steps
Candidates can follow the following steps to apply:
- Visit the official website at upesc.up.gov.in
- Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process.
- Upload the required documents including photo and signature
- Create an OTR ID after providing the details
- Log in with your OTR ID and fill out the application form
- Pay the application fee through online mode
- Submit the form and download the confirmation page
