The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to announce the result of the second main session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2026 by tomorrow, April 20, 2026, according to various media reports.Once released, candidates will be able to check their results on the official websites, namely jeemain.nta.nic.in, nta.ac.in and expectationservices.nic.in.Students will need their application number, date of birth or password to download the scorecard.This year, more than 11 lakh candidates appeared for the computer-based examination. Among them, around 2.5 lakh candidates will be shortlisted for JEE Advanced 2026 for admission to BTech programs in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).JEE Main 2026 April session was held from April 2 to April 8, 2026. The provisional answer key and response sheet were released on April 11, and the objection window closed on April 13, 2026.

JEE 2nd Main Session Result 2026: Steps to Download

Candidates can follow the following steps to check their results:

  • Visit the official website at jemain.nta.nic.in
  • Click on the link JEE Main Session 2 Result 2026
  • Enter your application number and password/date of birth
  • Click Submit
  • Your scorecard will appear on the screen
  • Download the printout and take it for future reference

JEE Main 2026: How to calculate marks

According to the marking system:

  • +4 marks for each correct answer
  • -1 mark for each incorrect answer
  • There are no marks for unanswered questions

Candidates can calculate their estimated scores using this formula:Score=4×(correct answers)−1×(incorrect answers)This will help students estimate their expected marks before announcing the final result.
