Having been aware of the term “nepotism” since it gained prominence, Meezaan understands the assumptions made by the industry and the public regarding star kids and the perceived shortcuts to success. During an interview, he confidently addressed these misconceptions, stating, “A misconception is that we have it easy.”
Meezaan, son of actor Jaaved Jaaferi, tackled the idea that star kids have it easier in an interview with India Today. He remarked, “Anyone who says that is quite foolish. While we may have certain advantages, we also face significant challenges because of the expectations and burdens placed on us.”
He further noted, “It’s easier to start fresh than to carry the weight of expectations.”
When questioned about his limited projects since his debut in 2019, Meezaan acknowledged the presence of groupism within the industry. He explained that many actors tend to work within their own circles, often influenced by talent management agencies that are closely linked to specific production houses. According to him, this creates an environment where individuals primarily operate within their established networks.
