As the weekend approaches, many customers often check whether banks are open or closed on Saturday due to pending financial business. So customers should know that bank branches are open across India on Saturday, April 18, 2026, as it is the third Saturday of the month.Under the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday structure, banks are closed only on the second and fourth Saturdays, besides all Sundays and declared public holidays. The first, third, and in some cases the fifth, Saturdays are treated as regular business days.Hence, customers can visit branches today for routine services such as deposits, withdrawals, check processing and account related works, which are subject to normal banking hours.Meanwhile, digital banking services remain available as usual. Facilities like UPI transactions, mobile banking, online banking, ATM services, money transfer and bill payments continue without interruption, irrespective of the branch operating days. However, some services still require in-person visits, including vault access, high-value cash transactions beyond ATM limits, and document-based banking.
