Since these holidays vary from state to state, it is best to check the holiday list first to avoid wasting a trip.In addition to the festival-related closures, banks across the country also remain closed on the second and fourth Saturday of every month, as per Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines.
When and where do banks close in June?
June 15: Odisha and Mizoram will observe public holidays on the occasion of YMA Day and Raja Sankranti.June 25: Banks in Andhra Pradesh will remain closed due to Muharram.June 26: Banks will remain close across several states/union territories including Tripura, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh due to Muharram or Ashura.June 29: Himachal Pradesh will witness closure of banks due to Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti.June 30: Banks will remain closed in Mizoram in observance of Remna Ne.

Despite these holidays, digital banking channels will remain fully operational. Customers can continue to access online banking, mobile apps, ATMs and UPI platforms for a wide range of services, including money transfer, bill payment and account management.However, services that require physical presence, such as check processing, issuing demand bills and large cash transactions, will not be available on non-business days. Customers are encouraged to rely on digital platforms and plan essential banking tasks in advance to avoid delays.
