The value of China’s rare earth exports reached $64.2 million in April 2026, according to preliminary trade data released by the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC), ANI reported.Customs data showed that China exported 5,308.6 tons of rare earths during the month.China’s total exports rose 12 percent month-on-month in April, while the country’s total trade reached $634.06 billion.According to data from the General Civil Aviation Authority, the value of China’s total exports during the month of April amounted to $359.44 billion, while imports amounted to $274.62 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of $84.82 billion.The Customs Administration said that the country’s total trade value, exports and imports rose by 7.2 percent on a monthly basis.Among the major export categories, exports of high-tech products reached US$104.01 billion during April, while exports of mechanical and electrical products reached US$229.29 billion.China’s mobile phone exports reached 84.10 billion US dollars, while exports of integrated circuits reached 31.08 billion US dollars, according to customs data.The data also showed that automobile exports, including motor bodies, amounted to $160.96 billion during the month. Exports of automobile components and spare parts amounted to $85.99 billion.These figures were released as part of the GACC’s April 2026 trade data update.
