Chennai-based Intellect Design Arena Ltd has announced the launch of Academic TeamSpace to enable colleges and universities to enable AI for learning and research.

As part of this initiative, Intellect has signed a memorandum of understanding with six institutes, including the University of Stirling (RAS) (UAE), SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Sairam Enterprises, Periyar Maniyamayi Institute of Science and Technology, Vijnana Jyothi Institute of Management, and Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology.

The memorandum of understanding with these institutions aims to establish the TeamSpace Academic Center, which will serve as a joint AI innovation environment for academic institutions.

Through Academic TeamSpace, the company aims to provide students, faculty, and research teams with an environment to deploy AI agents, powered by Purple Fabric, Intellects’ Business Impact AI platform, along with the ability for institutions to design and configure custom agents aligned with academic, research, and administrative needs.

“TeamSpace Academic is designed to give organizations access to the same enterprise-level managed AI architecture used in production environments,” said Arun Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, Intellect Design Arena. “We are working to create a shared innovation infrastructure where universities can collaborate, experiment responsibly, and translate AI from theory to measurable impact.”

“Education must move beyond teaching AI as a subject and instead enable students to experience AI as a system for thinking, designing and solving real problems,” said Anbu Rathinavel, Chief Design Officer at Intellect Design Arena. “TeamSpace Academic Program combines design thinking and enterprise AI in a controlled environment where learning becomes experiential.”
