Hero MotoCorp has added a new variant to its range of electric scooters with the launch of the 3.4 kWh Vida VX2 Go, priced at Rs 1.02 lakh, ex-showroom. With this, Hero will also aim to strengthen its foothold in the growing electric scooter segment, where the TVS iQube 3.5 kWh is already a strong contender.

Here’s a quick look at how these two models stack up against each other.

Hero Vida VX2 3.4 kWh TVS iQube 3.5 kWh vs.: Battery and range

The new 3.4 kWh Vida VX2 Go comes with a removable dual 3.4 kWh battery setup. Hero claims a real-world range of up to 100 km on a single charge. The electric motor produces 8 horsepower and 26 Nm of torque, allowing a top speed of 70 km per hour. The scooter also offers Eco and Ride modes.In comparison, the TVS iQube 3.5 kWh has a slightly larger battery that offers a range of 145 km according to IDC.

However, the real-world scope is usually less. The electric motor here generates 6 horsepower and 33 Nm of torque. This electric car can achieve a top speed of 78 km per hour.

In terms of features, the VX2 Go offers a 4.3-inch digital display, smartphone connectivity via the My VIDA app, navigation, music control, and call alerts. The scooter also features LED lighting, regenerative braking, and removable battery packs that can be easily charged at home.

The iQube, on the other hand, features a 7-inch TFT touchscreen with SmartXonnect that provides navigation and call/messaging alerts, a HMI joystick, a 950W external charger, Q-Park Assist, regenerative braking, and a 32-litre under-seat storage space.

The Hero Vida VX2 3.4 kWh variant is priced at Rs 1.02 lakh, ex-showroom. Under Hero’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, customers can opt for the 3.4 kWh VX2 Go variant at an initial cost of Rs 60,000, paying Rs 0.90 per km under the subscription plan. Meanwhile, the TVS iQube 3.5 kWh variant is priced at Rs 1.15 lakh, which is an effective on-road price in Delhi.
