More details about Dr Doom were revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con event.
The recently held San Diego Comic-Con event brought many new developments to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. From casting Ryan Gosling as the new Ghost Rider to fans getting a brand new Black Panther for a 2028 release, several new projects have been announced.
Additionally, a brand new clip for the upcoming Marvel movie “Avengers: Doomsday” was also premiered at the event for fans exclusively. The new clip has sparked a lot of excitement, including the return of an old MCU character as well as more details about Dr Doom’s back story.
About the footage of the new “Avengers: Doomsday” movie
The cast of “Avengers: Doomsday” attended the event to promote the film and talk more about upcoming projects. Robert Downey Jr., who last appeared in an MCU film in 2019, will take over the role of Doctor Doom next December.
While on stage, Entertainment Weekly reported that Downey got on stage and said, “Decisions have to be made, you have to be on the side of the good guys, or you have to consider the alternative…joining a family of death.
Come to the green side.”The clip and panel also officially confirmed that actress Hayley Atwell will return as Peggy Carter in the movie Doomsday, scheduled to be released in December of this year.
The trailer also showed more details about Doctor Doom’s backstory and where he comes from. Instead of being from one of the main planets of Earth like most other Marvel heroes and villains, Dr. Doom belongs to Earth 818, which is where the “Fantastic Four” specifically belong.In another part of the clip, Vanessa Kirby, who plays Sue Storm, is seen doing a montage. “He was always the smartest guy in the whole world… He was different. He was different,” she says.
“He was kind, he cared… Everything he loved was taken from him… I knew he was lost, I didn’t realize he was broken.” In another part of the footage, Doctor Doom is shown surrounded by his followers, the Guardians, while fighting Thor, the god of thunder.Chris Evans, Paul Rudd and Pedro Pascal attended the event. The event was attended by Anthony Mackie, Letitia Wright, Hannah John-Kamen, David Harbour, Simu Liu, Danny Ramsay, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, Kelsey Grammer, and Winston Duke.
Joe and Anthony Russo were also at the event, and teased little tidbits about the project. Anthony concluded the H panel and said, “We still have work to do to bring you the best Doomsday possible, so we’ll get to work.

Robert Downey Jr. reveals details about the movie “Avengers: Doomsday”
Robert Downey Jr., who played Iron Man until his character’s death in Endgame, will take on an entirely new role as the villain. He recently shared new details about the upcoming Avengers movie.
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly about all of this, he said, “There’s a science thing, and they’re considered very cool guys. But Tony had the trauma that turned him into a hero, and Doom got the exact opposite, where it takes the courage of all these people to stand up against him, and it was a joy to watch.”
“He also shared one character, who also influenced him a lot, adding: “It was really weird to be on the other side of the bad guy mask because it’s such an isolated feeling. I see them all socializing and stuff, and I’m the enemy!”“Avengers: Doomsday” is scheduled to be released in December this year.
