RaKai was warned by police after calling 911 due to a bad haircut during a live broadcast

Twitch streamer RaKai received a serious warning from the local police department after calling 911 to complain about a bad haircut while livestreaming. The incident occurred on July 22, and quickly spread across social media through viral clips.

Police later summoned the 17-year-old streamer while he was still alive and explained that misusing emergency services could lead to serious legal trouble. RaKai apologized to the officer and admitted that he did not know that calling 911 to complain about the haircut was wrong.

The incident began after Rakai visited a barber to get his hair cut, believing something had gone terribly wrong. During the live broadcast, he became upset and called 911, hoping police would help him take legal action against Al-Hallaq.

“I want to sue him” Rakai told the emergency operator after explaining that his barber had ruined his haircut. The officer seemed surprised and asked if the call was a prank. He also asked if Rakai needed police, firefighters or medical assistance because of the haircut. The officer then advised Rakai that if he wanted to prosecute Al-Hallaq, he should contact the court instead. He also asked Rakai how old he was and asked to speak to his parents.

After Rakai hung up the call, the police department called him back while he was still broadcasting. The officer warned the teen that calling 911 in a non-emergency situation and hanging up could get him into serious trouble.“You’re a bit young to start doing things like this and getting into trouble.” The officer said. “I don’t want you to go to prison when you’re 17. You’ll have a record that will stay with you for the rest of your life.”

He said he should have stayed with his regular barber because the new haircut made him unhappy. The incident quickly became a point of discussion online, with many viewers sharing clips from the live broadcast. While some people laughed at the situation, others pointed out that 911 should only be used during true emergencies. The viral moment ended with an important lesson.
