After Border 2 in which Ahaan Shetty forayed into horror with Vikram Bhatt’s 1920’s Cold Winter, the makers are looking for a female lead ahead of shooting in November.

Ahaan Shetty is reportedly ready to venture into unexplored territory with his next project. After making headlines with the success of ‘Border 2’, the actor has now reportedly signed on for director Vikram Bhatt’s upcoming horror film ‘1920 Cold Winter’, the final chapter in the popular supernatural franchise.

The film, backed by producer Anand Pandit, is currently in development, with the script still in progress.

A new genre by Ahan Shetty

After making his debut in the romantic drama ‘Tadap’, Ahan has gradually expanded his film choices. Before entering the world of horror, he will be seen in Tino Desai’s film ‘Sanki’.As reported by Mid-Day, reports suggest that the actor was keen to take on a new challenging project.

“Ahan’s next step is about experimenting with different genres. Having started his career with the film Tadap, he wants to avoid repeating himself and consciously chooses films that allow him to explore new characters and worlds. 1920’s Cold Winter will be his first horror film,” a source revealed. While Ahan’s casting is locked in, the team is still looking for the female lead. Reports suggest that the makers are interested in casting an established actress rather than introducing a newcomer.

If the project stays on schedule, Vikram Bhatt is expected to start shooting around November.Preparations for the film are expected to begin soon, with Vikram Bhatt and Anand Pandit reportedly planning a location scout in Scotland. Apart from the international locations, major portions of the horror drama are also expected to be shot in Shimla, adding to the eerie atmosphere of the story.

The legacy of the “1920” franchise.

“1920 Cold Winter” will be the sixth film in the long-running horror series. The franchise began with “1920” and later expanded with “1920: Evil Returns”, “1920: London”, “1921” and “1920: Terrors of the Heart”. The upcoming installment aims to take forward the franchise’s mix of supernatural horror and suspense with a new cast and setting.
