Paramount+ is gearing up to transport viewers to the Scottish Highlands.
The broadcaster lit the chain green To respondA family drama starring and executive produced by Kenneth Branagh. Hollywood Reporter I’ve learned. The series will follow a local landlord, Laird of Castle Drummoch (Branagh), who challenges the ambitions of an American billionaire bent on purchasing large tracts of valleys.
And yes, the movie looks a bit similar to the hit Paramount+ film Yellowstonehas just been set in Scotland.
MobLand Viewer and Agency Co-creator Jez Butterworth created the project alongside his brother, Agency Co-creator and Edge of tomorrow Screenwriter John Henry Butterworth, as well 100 Producer Georgia Lee. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.

Branagh executive produces alongside David Glaser, Jez, John Henry Butterworth, Ron Burkle, David Hotkin, Bob Yari, Charles Finch and Keith Cox. Joe Wright, Commander Pride and Prejudice, Atonement and Darkest hourthe pilot will direct.
“Imagine Jez, John Henry and Georgia, a thrilling drama that explores how far one family will go to protect their land and legacy,” Paramount Television Studios president Matt Tunnell said in a statement. “With Kenneth Branagh starring and Joe Wright directing, this is a unique creative team, and we are thrilled to once again partner with 101 Studios to bring this series to Paramount+.”
It’s the latest high-profile greenlight for a drama from the new management team at Paramount+. Over the past year, streaming company executives have also ordered the legal drama appreciation Starring Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning, this true crime adaptation Don’t be afraid With Anne Hathaway and the drama of 9/11 first responders 12/09 With Jeremy Strong.
