Daily show It has long parodied TV news, but now it’s spoofing the mini-drama format as well.

The Comedy Central brand will soon launch a drama mini-series titled The Daily Show Presents: Two billionaires fight for control of the country…and my heart!, Hollywood Reporter I’ve learned. The story is set to satirize the state of American politics as well as the vertical format, which typically uses soap opera plots, romance and wild twists to keep viewers hooked.
