Mysuru: Three men have been arrested for kidnapping and gang-raping a tribal woman from West Bengal, police said on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped by the trio near a private bus stand in T Narasipura town in Mysuru district, and taken to a hostel near Muguru village where she was allegedly gang-raped and robbed of cash and two mobile phones.
She was later abandoned near her home, according to the first information report registered by T Narasipura police.
The accused were identified as Kiran, Kishore and Rayan, residents of T Narasipura.
The FIR, registered on July 19 under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, said the alleged crimes took place on the intervening night of July 18 and 19.
The police booked the case against three accused and began the investigation.
