Delhi is expected to witness limited rain over the next three days. The capital will receive only isolated and scattered rain across the city, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Residents are likely to experience short periods of rain and thunderstorms, while widespread monsoon rains are expected to remain absent until July 19.

The Meteorological Department has predicted the most active monsoon phase between July 20 and 22. Fairly widespread rainfall is expected over Delhi and adjoining parts of Haryana. Isolated places may be exposed to heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.

Possibility of light rain during the next three days
The IMD forecast indicates that rainfall activity will remain limited across the national capital until July 19, with rainfall limited to isolated or scattered areas rather than the entire city.
The department said that weather conditions are likely to change from July 20, which will lead to a significant increase in rainfall activity.

Rainfall is expected to intensify from July 20
From July 20 to 22, the IMD has forecast fairly widespread rainfall across Delhi and neighboring Haryana.
The administration also expected heavy rain to fall intermittently during the three days, noting that while rain is expected to fall in most areas, some locations may witness heavy rain.

Monsoon activity is set to strengthen
The incoming wave is expected to represent a stronger phase of the monsoon over the region after several days of relatively limited rainfall activity.
The administration warned that rainfall is likely to become more widespread during the period from July 20 to 22 compared to the previous three days.
Delhi is currently witnessing a temperature of around 36 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department expected thundershowers later in the day. Temperatures are expected to rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius before the most active monsoon wave begins from July 20.
