'Lenin' box office day 5: Akhil Akkineni starrer stays steady, eyes Rs 50 crore worldwide

Akhil Akkineni’s ‘Lenin’ is off to a good start as it enters its important phase in theatres. Action dramas, like most films, saw a decline on weekdays, but their collections remained good. Backed by good audience support and strong occupancy in several Telugu markets, the film is slowly heading towards another big achievement at the box office.

The latest figures suggest Lenin will remain comfortably in the race despite a midweek slowdown.

‘Lenin’ earns Rs 3 crore on the 5th day

According to Sakneelek, ‘Lenin’ has collected an estimated net of Rs 3 crore across 2,147 shows in India on the fifth day. With this, the film’s net collection in India has risen to Rs 32.05 crore, while the Indian grosser stands at Rs 36.79 crore. The film also added Rs 0.50 crore gross from overseas markets on Tuesday, taking its international earnings to Rs 8.30 crore.

As a result, ‘Lenin’ has now grossed Rs 45.09 crore worldwide in five days.

Although the film’s collections fell from Rs 3.60 crore on the fourth day to Rs 3 crore on the fifth day, this is a very impressive performance for a weekday.

The action, emotions and performances continue to captivate audiences

Directed by Murali Kishore Appuru, ‘Lenin’ is a blend of action and emotion. Akhil Akkineni’s performance has been appreciated and Bhagyashree Borse has also been praised for her role. The supporting cast of Ramki, Sivaji, Sunil, Brahmaji and Eswari Rao makes the film richer.

Positive reviews and an outpouring of love from the movie stars played an important role in helping the film maintain its dominance after its opening weekend.

All eyes are on achieving the global milestone of Rs 50 crore

The film now needs just a few crore rupees to cross the global gross mark of Rs 50 crore. His weekday performance over the next few days will determine how quickly he reaches this milestone. If the current trend continues, ‘Lenin’ is expected to reach the milestone before the weekend, giving Akhil Akkineni another notable hit at the box office and adding more momentum to the film’s theatrical run.Disclaimer: Box office numbers and data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
