A 28-year-old woman and her two children were found dead under suspicious circumstances at their home in Andhra Pradesh’s Palnadu district on Tuesday morning, with police suspecting a case of murder and suicide.

An official at Vinukonda police station said the accident took place at Vitamrajopalli village in Vinukonda rural district of Mandal late on Monday night while the woman’s husband, who works as a milk delivery truck driver, was off duty.
According to preliminary police investigations, the woman is suspected of killing her two sons before committing suicide, apparently after long-standing domestic problems.
“There is a brief note, supposedly written by her, which states that no one is responsible for her decision to kill her children and her death,” the police official said.
Initial investigations with local residents revealed that the couple had been facing marital disputes for some time, with frequent disagreements over domestic issues.
The police official said: “The husband appears to be an alcoholic and neglects his family, which has led to constant disputes between him and his wife.”
The police are questioning the husband to ascertain whether any quarrel or accident that occurred on Monday night preceded the death.
The official said: “We have not yet confirmed the exact circumstances behind the death, which will be determined during the investigation.”
The police registered a suspicious death, and the bodies were transferred for autopsy. The investigation is ongoing.
