24-year-old woman killed and man injured in stabbing in west London; A 44-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of murder

A woman was killed and another injured in a stabbing accident in London.

A 24-year-old woman was stabbed to death and a man in his 20s was injured during a violent incident at a west London property on Sunday morning, The Telegraph reported.Metropolitan Police officers were called to Uxbridge Road in Hayes shortly before 8am, where they found the woman suffering from stab wounds.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.The injured man was found outside the property with stab wounds and was taken to hospital. Police said he also suffered injuries believed to have been caused by jumping out of a window.A 44-year-old man is in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of a sharp object in a public place.Chief Inspector Alam Banjo described the incident as a tragic case that left one person dead and another seriously injured.

He said that specialized officers are providing support to the families of the victims.Police said the investigation was still at an early stage, but there was currently no indication there was any wider risk to the public. Officers appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and said an increased police presence would remain in the area over the coming days.
