Although Priyadarshan has exited 'Hera Pheri 3', Sunil Shetty says he is hopeful after the success of 'Welcome To The Jungle': 'Something magical has to happen'

Even though ‘Hera Pheri 3’ is mired in legal hurdles, Suniel Shetty has not given up hope. The actor believes the success of ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ could pave the way for the long-awaited comedy to finally go ahead.

Describing ‘Hera Pheri’ as the biggest comedy franchise of his career, Sunil admitted that he hopes the film will eventually go on floors and reach audiences, largely due to the immense nostalgia associated with it.In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sunil said, “Heera Pheri is the biggest comedy franchise of my career and the nostalgia associated with it is extremely heartwarming. The constant memes in it, and with its evocative value, who wouldn’t want that to happen? Fingers crossed, hopefully after Welcome to the Jungle, something magical should happen.”The actor also shared his thoughts on the importance of family entertainers, saying that the success of films like Welcome To The Jungle will benefit the entire industry.“The success of any film is the success of this industry, especially at a time when we have forgotten what family entertainment means and what it means to be inclusive with grandparents and grandchildren.”Praising producer Feroz Nadiadwala’s vision, Sunil added: “The Disney mentality is the mentality that Feroz Nadiadwala has, and that’s why Welcome To The Jungle is so successful.

“I’m happy and excited and I hope more family artists will participate.”The actor also spoke about his reunion with Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and several other veteran stars in the cast. He said the film allows each actor to shine despite its star-studded line-up.“The best part about the film is that even though there are so many outstanding actors, you are still able to find your niche and get appreciation like everyone else.

The success belongs to Akshay as much as it does to Raveena, Paresh bhai, Johnny, me or any other actor.”Considering this experience, Suniel said he did not hesitate to share screen space with these popular actors.“Films like this give you one chance to get back into the hearts of the audience. I relied on Akshay, Paresh ji and Raveena to be a part of this successful franchise, and I am happy that I made this choice. I am happy that I did not feel insecure with these people around me,” the actor concluded. His comments come shortly after the director

Priyadarshan

He announced his exit from ‘Hera Pheri 3’ and claimed that the film will never be made. While the statement disappointed fans of the beloved series, Sunil’s optimism has given many reasons to hope that the project will find a way forward.
